Case Study - Taylor Wimpey, Billing Park

  • Housing

The project is valued at £2million and involves the construction of  94 plots and apartments, 278 works, road and sewers, stormwater drainage storage, site regrade of approx. 20,000m³, and major tree surgery.

Before site commenced environmental issues had to be taken into account, such as carrying out newt protection, dealing with bats, and the relocation / removal of existing trees. These works were carried out professionally and with great care, with close co-operation with the relevant environment agencies ensuring we comply with current legislation.

Given the fast track nature of the project we were able to liaise with the local authority and secure agreement of commencing the 278 works to the bellmouth entrance earlier than programmed. This enabled a safe and direct access to the site, ensuring efficiency of the construction process and the protection of the general public.

By being proactive in our approach it has further enhanced our relationship with Taylor Wimpey, and we look forward to working closely with them on an on-going basis.

Value to the Client:

  • Peace of mind that the environmental issues had been properly considered and addressed.
  • Assured safe and direct access to site by early completion of 278 works.
